Art After Dark

Art After Dark transforms Downtown Waynesville into an exquisite visual, culinary and performing arts center, the first Friday evening of each month from May until December.

There are few destinations in the mountains where can you find such a wide breadth of talented artisans and craftsmen in a single location.

All participating galleries are open until 9 p.m. Refreshments are offered to all patrons and many of the studios treat visitors to live music played by our local bands and musicians.

Each gallery typically features a different style of art and medium. Many invite guest artisans and offer live demonstrations. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn more about a particular artist’s style and technique and maybe even a tip or two.

Most of the galleries are working studios whose owners will be honored to answer your questions. Art After Dark offers a relaxed atmosphere, filled with art, music and laughter.
